How to support the SVR
When you choose to support the Railway financially through the Charitable Trust, you will be making a real difference to the future of this wonderful heritage asset. Every donation, no matter what its size, helps to preserve the SVR's rolling stock and infrastructure. Together, we're ensuring the future of this amazing piece of living history, so that it can continue to delight, thrill and inform generations to come.
And we really do need your support.
The day-to-day income the SVR receives from passenger fares, shops, cafes and pubs can only cover the cost of running trains, along with standard maintenance and restoration. Sadly it doesn't generate enough income to improve and develop the Railway. This investment is essential for the SVR will maintain its position as a leading heritage railway in the UK.
When you donate to the Charitable Trust we benefit from an additional 25% of your donation if you are eligible for Gift Aid!

We need a volunteer!
We are planning a major fundraising campaign and are seeking an enthusiastic and organised part time volunteer Campaign Administration Assistant to provide vital support to our friendly team. This role involves handling administrative tasks, supporting the Trustees, Operations Manager and Finance Administrator. It is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about heritage and looking to contribute to a meaningful cause.
Hours of Work
In Head Office (Kidderminster) on Wednesdays: 09:00 – 14.00. Other times on request, if available to work from home.
