Help us build a canopy to complete the Severn Valley Railway’s gateway station at Kidderminster.

Together, we’ll finish Kidderminster Station — properly and permanently

Kidderminster Town Station has been built over time to reflect the quality and character of the Great Western Railway. Now, it’s time to complete it, properly and permanently, by building a heritage canopy along the double platform.

A substantial legacy has given us the impetus to think big about the gateway to the Severn Valley Railway.

Now, with your help, the Raise the Roof campaign will secure £1,000,000 to bring this vision to life. This stunning and authentic structure will enhance your experience of visiting the Railway, staying true to authenticity and creating a legacy for generations to come.

  • Kidderminster Town station might look like it’s been there for more than a hundred years, but it was only built in the mid-1980s!

  • The spectacular glazed canopy over the concourse was added in 2006

  • The platform canopy will be partly built using authentic, salvaged steelwork from the decommissioned station at Wolverhampton

  • At least 70 tons of steel will be used to create the Kidderminster Town station canopy!
